Integrate resmio into Squarespace

Squarespace integration of resmio via widget code

You can place resmio’s booking widget “natively” on your Squarespace site so that your guests can book online without leaving your homepage. Just follow these steps:

1. In the edit mode of Squarespace, scroll to the desired position where you want to add the resmio widget. Then click on the “+” icon on the desired location.

2. A new window will open. Select here the option “Code”.

3. Now switch to your resmio account in a new browser tab, if necessary.

Log in to resmio with your access data.
In the quick access bar at the bottom, click Settings > Integrations > Widgets & Newsletters
Click on the button Widget under “Integrate as …”.
(Optional) Adjust the widget size and font before embedding.

4. Back to Squarespace:

Paste the link in the code block. Note: The mode here should be set to “HTML” and the display source code should be disabled (slider on the left).
Confirm the changes by clicking on “Done” in the upper left part of the screen.
It is best to test the integration right away on your published website.

Tip: You can alternatively embed the reservation widget in “iFrame” format if you simply use the “Embed” block instead of the “Code” element. This alternative form of integration is useful if you want to place several reservation forms on a single subpage (e.g. for different rooms) or if there are display problems with the “Code” block. Please note that an appropriate business account may be required to use the “embed” element on Squarespace.

Squarespace integration of resmio via button

1. Log in to your Squarespace account with your credentials and choose your website / subpage where you want to integrate the button.

2.In Squarespace edit mode, scroll to the desired position where you want to add the button.

Then click on the + Add block button in the same place. Alternatively: Select an existing button on your website.

3. A new window will appear. Choose here the option Button.

4. Now switch to your resmio account in a new browser tab, if necessary.

Log in to resmio with your access data.
In the quick access bar at the bottom, click Settings > Integrations > Button & Newsletter
Click on the button Link under “Integrate as …”.

5. Change back to Squarespace:

Paste the link you just copied into the “Button” block and give the button a strong name, ideally with a call to action (e.g. Reserve online now)
Confirm the changes by clicking on “Finished” in the upper left corner.
Ideally, test the integration right away on your published website.

Squarespace integration of resmio via navigation menu

1.Click on the “Pages” menu point in the “Home” or the overview screen.

2. On the left side you can see all the elements of your main navigation. Select here the “+” icon to get an overview of page types you can add.

3.Click on the point “Link” and a new window will open.

4. Now switch to your resmio account in a new browser tab, if necessary.

In the quick access bar at the bottom, click Settings > Integrations > Button & Newsletter
Click on the button Link under “Integrate as …”.
Copy the reservation URL

5. Change back to Squarespace:

Insert the link in the appropriate place, give it a meaningful link title (e.g. Reserve online) and confirm the changes by clicking “Save”.
Confirm the changes by clicking on “Finished” in the upper left corner.
Please test the integration right away on your published website.
