Customize widget: Notes & offers
· Inform guests in the widget about important reservation details
· Request additional guest information via custom fields
· Place offers in the widget to maximize your occupancy
Inform guests
If you would like to provide relevant information to your guests in advance of their online reservation, such as the length of stay or any reservation conditions, you can store these under “Individual widget text”.
- You can find the feature under Settings
>Bookings > Online bookings > Individual widget text.
- Your note to guests appears in your reservation widget immediately after selecting a reservation time, i.e. in the second of a total of three steps.
If you would like to request further reservation details from your guests in addition to contact data (e.g. occasion for the visit, agreement to T&Cs), you can define additional custom input fields for your reservation widget.
- You can find the feature under
Settings >Bookings > General under the item Custom input fields.
- You can define individual fields using the "+ Add input field" button.
- You have the choice between a free text field and a checkbox.
- Specify whether the information should be a mandatory field or not.
If you mark a field as mandatory, the reservation can only be completed if a value is also entered in this field.

By default, the text for closed days is "Sorry, we are closed on DD.MM.YYYY.", which is translated into the respective national language of your guests according to the language setting in the browser.
However, you can adapt this text if necessary.
Go to Settings >Bookings > General and scroll down to the Widget text for closed days section.
- Store your desired text there, please don’t forget to save your changes.
- To restore the standard text available in multiple languages, simply remove your personalized widget text.
The information board for guests can also be adapted for specific closing times (e.g. company holidays, renovation work, team events, private functions, etc.).
Go to Settings >Bookings > Exceptions & promotions > Holidays and exceptions.
- Click on an existing exception in the future or add a new one.
- Store a special text of max.
1024 characters in length. The note will then be visible to guests in the widget during the period specified above.
Marketing via widget
Via your reservation widget, you can point out upcoming offers and events to guests, such as brunch times or a happy hour in the evening.
In this way, you can, for example, fill seats at otherwise low-occupancy times with guests.
How it works:
- In resmio, click on
Settings > Bookings >
Promotion times. - Click on the + Add promotion times button and you can select the days and times on which the note should appear.
- Define a meaningful title for your offer as well as an attractive description text.
- If necessary, upload a suitable image that guests should see in your widget.
